Quarantine: Again

Looking back do you wish you did something different while we were strictly quarantining? Do you wish you worked out? Learned more? Started a new project or hobby? Well what if we had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?

Well for me this thought is becoming a reality. My plans to go off to college in late August were changed to moving on July 31 instead. This of course is to ensure that I have time to quarantine since Ohio is considered a high risk State. Did I think I would have to strictly quarantine again? No, but it is what it is, I will be starting my two week quarantine on August 1, 2020.

But this quarantine will be drastically different from the first. I will be on my own living in a dorm room, where I will have basically no contact with anyone until my quarantine is over. So I have been thinking about what I will be doing differently, and how I will fill my time. During my "first quarantine" I mostly did school work, hung out with my family and slept, but during my "second quarantine" I want to be more productive. I am predicting that it will be a combination of Netflix, decorating my dorm, sleeping, and of course art!

I have already began to brainstorm ideas of new shows and movies to watch. So far my top pick is to start the series "The 100". I also want to watch the divergent movies, because I have never seen them before. These will probably be playing in the background of me decorating my room. My color scheme for my room is grey, white, and lavender. I plan to paint records to hang on the wall and make a photo collage. While my interior decorating can serve as a portion of my "art fix" I still want to complete a painting/drawing while I am in quarantine to prepare for my foundation art class I am taking this semester. I am not sure yet what I want to do but I am very excited to get started.

Last but certainly not least on my quarantine agenda is sleeping. Sleep is so important, and this might be my last chance to get solid hours of sleep in before I am sucked into the world of late night coffee runs, and all nighters that we like to call college.

Overall am I excited to leave home to quarantine? The short answer is no. But I am excited to have some time to do things I normally wouldn't have time to do!
