Join us for Friends and Family Open Studios (FFOS), a fun, multi-generational art workshop held on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 1-3pm! All are welcome to explore a variety of art projects using a wide range of materials, fostering creativity and connection. Each session offers exposure to different cultures through art, celebrating diversity and creativity in a warm, welcoming environment. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just looking to try something new, this is a space for everyone to come together and create in a supportive atmosphere. Come solo, bring friends, family, and your creative spirit! Donations are accepted to cover supplies and instruction. Upcoming classes: October 19th from 1 pm - 3 pm: Dawali Lights Join us for a special Diwali art workshop that celebrates the vibrant traditions of this Hindu festival. Participants of all ages are invited to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Diwali by creating decorative lanterns, intricate rangoli patterns, and light-inspired artworks. The workshop will also feature a guest presenter who will share personal stories and insights into how his family celebrates this joyous occasion. November 16th from 1 pm - 3 pm: Honoring Native American Art In this Friends and Family Open Studio, led by a teaching artist of partial Native American heritage, students will create talking sticks. These are traditional tools used in Native American cultures to promote respectful dialogue. The teacher will explain the cultural significance while guiding students to select materials thoughtfully, encouraging cultural appreciation and respect for Native traditions. December 21st from 1 pm - 3 pm: Winter Solstice Art Join us for a cozy and creative Winter Solstice Art Class! Celebrate the magic of the season as we explore winter-themed art projects inspired by the beauty of nature and the long, starry nights. Participants of all ages can enjoy making festive pieces using various materials such as watercolor, collage, and natural elements. This is a perfect opportunity
